GoWishCart

Documentation

Get wishlists running on your FluentCart store in a few minutes.

Last updated · GoWishCart 2.0.3

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • FluentCart, installed and active (required)
  • FluentCRM — optional, for automation triggers

Install the plugin

  1. Make sure FluentCart is installed and activated.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and search for GoWishCart.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Open Settings → GoWishCart to configure it.

Prefer manual install? Download the zip from WordPress.org and upload it to/wp-content/plugins/gowishcart-wishlist-for-fluentcart.

Choose a wishlist page

GoWishCart creates a wishlist page for you on activation. To use a different page, select it in the settings — or add the [gowishcart_wishlist] shortcode to any page.

Customize the wishlist button

  • Position — show “Add to wishlist” at the top or bottom of product pages.
  • Remove button — show “Remove from wishlist” when the product is already saved.
  • Shop page — enable “Show Button on Shop Page” to add buttons to product archive and shop pages.
  • Text and icons — change the labels and icons for both the add and remove states.
  • Custom CSS — add your own styles for full control.

Shortcodes

ShortcodeWhat it does
[gowishcart_wishlist]Displays the current customer’s wishlist.
[gowishcart_wishlist_button]Displays an add-to-wishlist button anywhere on your site.

Product variations

Nothing to configure. When a shopper picks a color, size or other FluentCart variation and adds the product to their wishlist, that exact variant is saved and shown on their wishlist page.

Guest wishlists

Visitors can create and manage a wishlist without an account. Guest wishlists are stored with a session cookie. You can optionally capture a guest’s email address so they can receive notifications too.

Price drop & back-in-stock notifications

Turn on notifications in the GoWishCart settings. Customers who have an email address on file get an email when:

  • a product in their wishlist goes on sale (price drop alert), or
  • an out-of-stock product in their wishlist becomes available again (back-in-stock alert).

FluentCRM automation

With FluentCRM active, connect it in the GoWishCart settings. You can then start FluentCRM automation funnels from these triggers:

  • Item added to a wishlist
  • Item removed from a wishlist
  • Wishlist item price drop
  • Wishlist item back in stock

Use them to send reminders, discount codes or related-product emails.

Troubleshooting

The wishlist button doesn’t appear

Check that FluentCart is active, that you’re viewing a FluentCart product page, and — for shop pages — that “Show Button on Shop Page” is enabled. Clear any page cache after changing settings.

Guests lose their wishlist

Guest wishlists are tied to a browser cookie. Clearing cookies or switching browsers starts a new wishlist.

Notifications aren’t sent

Make sure notifications are enabled, the customer has an email address on file, and your site can send email (an SMTP plugin helps).
